2018 Power Grid Defense Symposium
Embassy Suites Hotel and Spa, Huntsville, Alabama

Click for Symposium Flyer

The symposium will feature local, regional and national speakers. Some of the topics include; power grid vulnerabilities, status of grid hardening in other states, and emergency management preparation-suggestions. We will also discuss ways to educate the public, policy makers and state and local first responders about the risks to the power grid. The Alabama Power Grid Defense Committee is a grass roots organization with the goal of ensuring that our power grid is protected against the effects of EMP, Coronal Mass Ejections, Cyber and Kinetic Attacks. As such, the majority of the topics will be related to the various ways in which the grid is vulnerable. We also intend to have topics for the Emergency Management folks that would be attending.

We have set of hotel rooms at our symposium hotel, Embassy Suites Hotel and Spa at the special rate of $129 per night + tax. This is a great deal. You will include the famous Embassy Suites free made to order breakfast, nightly manger's reception, no worry about driving every day to the event. Plus you will make the organizers of the event very happy :-) The rate is good from two days prior and two days after our symposium so you can enjoy our great city and North Alabama. If you need to stay longer or have any issues with reservation, please contact us using the email icon at the top of the page or Yohon Lo at pgdc@HAL5.org Click here to reserve a room. You may also call (1-800-362-2779) and use our group code: AL5. That's A - L - Five. It will show up as "AL L5 SOCIETY".
